Grant from the Society of Victorian Periodical Researchers
A grant from the Victorian Periodicals Research Society will be awarded to a team of scholars who will conduct research on 19th century British newspapers and magazines.
The Society provides three grants — one for a scientist or group of scientists presenting a project to advance the work of other scientists in the field, and two smaller grants for original projects. The size of the grant is up to $ 27,500.
The following projects are expected from participants: demonstration projects using new technologies, projects to digitize British periodicals, and the presentation of new research methods to facilitate the study of periodicals. However, the organizers do not limit the participants, and any project related to this topic can be submitted for consideration.
