Shanghai University (also known as "Shanda") is one of the top research universities in the country. Shanghai University runs a scholarship and grant program annually for all international students entering the university.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Participants must not be residents of China

  • Undergraduate: Applicants must be no older than 25 years of age and hold a high school diploma

  • Master's: Applicants must be no older than 35 years old and hold a bachelor's degree

  • Postgraduate: Applicants must be notover 40 years old and hold a master's degree

Students studying at other universities in China are eligible for the scholarship program. But participants who have already received a scholarship in another educational institution in the country are not allowed to participate in the competition.

Important: Applicants must meet the language requirements of the program to qualify for the scholarship. Here it is described in detail what level of language proficiency the contestants applying for this or that direction should have. Please read this document carefully before completing the questionnaire.

To apply, you must provide the following documents:

  • Copy of passport

  • Scholarship application number (will be generated automatically on the website)

  • Copies of diplomas with extracts of grades

  • 2 letters of recommendation (written in English or Chinese by two different professors)

  • Letter ofreception of the head of Shanghai University

  • Plan of study or research in China

By participating in the competition, you can get 1 of two types of scholarships: full and partial.Both will fully cover tuition fees, campus accommodation and health insurance.But monthly payments are added to the full scholarship: $ 170 for bachelors, $ 265 for masters and $ 335 for graduate students.
