Scholarships for Scientists in Bulgaria

The Center for Advanced Study of Sofia (CAS Sofia) accepts applications from international scientists for scholarships and research in the field of humanitarian and socialsciences.Recruitment is part of the 2019/2020 In-Residence Advanced Academia Fellowships program.

If you are a scientist who defended his Ph.D., who has experience of participation in conferences and dreams of developing your project, then this program is for you.The Sofia Research Center is an independent institution with an international and interdisciplinary profile.He invites eminent scientists and helps them to continue their research work.

Applicants can apply for two periods:

October 1, 2019 - February 28, 2020 (winter semester)

March 1, 2020 - July 31, 2020 (summer semester)

During their studies, the fellows take part in seminars, workshops, conferences. All these scientific events are organized by the center itself. At one of the lectures, the participants present their research project.

Important: the institution conducts most of its work in English.All seminars and lectures are also held in English. Fellows are required to have a high level of English proficiency to work at the center.

Residents of any country other than Bulgaria can apply.Each participant must have a doctorate in the humanities and social sciences. And international research experience, participation in conferences and publications in scientific journals will be your plus.

Fellows will be provided with good material support.The monthly stipend of 700 euros is added to the payment of accommodation in Sofia, open access to the CAS library, travel allowance and research costs (up to 500 euros).
