Students at a British university relieved stress by cuddling with puppies

How to get rid of stress with puppiesOn May 7, University of Central Lancashire students had an unusual day – in order to relax and release the stress of exams, one classroom was transformed into a room with puppies.

The SOS (Stressed Out Students) campaign was organized by the university's student council in partnership with a charity for guide dogs.

In order to get a chance to cuddle with the dogs, students had to sign up in advance to limit the number of people so as not to put stress on the pups themselves. Unsurprisingly, sign-ups were filled up as early as a month in April.

People attending the unusual audience were asked to make donations of at least £1.50, which will go to the charity. In addition to charitable donations, the organizers hoped to accustom the puppies to being among people in this way.

The fundraiser raised £547.97. Those students who couldn't sign up and participate also wanted to contribute money. Similar campaigns will continue to be held at the university in the years to come.
