Study of the US Institutes Fully Funded Program

The US Embassy in Moscow is recruiting participants for the Study of the US Institutes (SUSI) 2019 for Secondary Educators exchange program.

Study of the US Institutes (SUSI) for Secondary Educatorsis a short-term summer exchange program for high school teachers and administrators.The program is an intensive course of lectures, seminars, group presentations and individual work for 4 weeks and 1-2 weeks of a study tour of the United States, visits to public and private organizations, and many other events.The selection of candidates is carried out on a competitive basis, and the participation of the winners in the program is fully paid by the Embassy.

Requirements for candidates

- Works as a teacher in a school (for children from the 5th grade) or in administrativebodies related to school education;

- Not younger than 26 and not older than 50;

- Teaches or develops teaching materials related to the United States (culture, history, language, economics, social sciences, etc.);

- Interested in the life and history of the United States, as evidenced by professional activity or achievements;

- speaks English at least level B2 (Upper-Intermediate) for comfortable interviewing and participation in the program;

- Has never been a finalist in adult exchange programs hosted by the US Embassy in Russia;

- Has limited experience in the United States or has never been there;

- Willing to spend 5-6 weeks in the US in the summer as part of an intensive graduate-level program and does not feel the discomfort of living on campus.

- Fill in all fields and send your application to US-RussiaExchanges@state.gov .
