The James Dyson Award

Aspiring engineers with innovative ideas can participate in The James Dyson Award.The organizers are awaiting applications from students and recent graduates - those who received an education in engineering, product and industrial design no more than four years ago. It is required to provide documents confirming specialized education.

On the program website you can find information about the winners of previous years. The competition takes place in several stages. First, in each participating country (Russia is on the list), the national jury will select the three best works.The author of the most promising project will receive a cash prize.

Then the international experts will examine all the works submitted from the results of the regional tours, assess their commercial viability. 20 innovative ideas will be selected. The three winners will be decided by renowned inventor, founder and CEO of Dyson, James Dyson.

To participate in the project, you need to register on the site and submit documents confirming that you are now getting an education in your specialty or graduated from the university no more than 4 years ago.

An online form is then required.It is necessary to tell in detail about your invention, how the work on it took place, how it differs from other works. All documents must be submitted in English.

Participants may submit up to five images (up to 3 MB each), as well as a video of at least 3 minutes. The video must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo in advance.
