NEWS: TOEFL makes it possible to take the test at home

The language testing provider ETS announced that the TOEFL iBT and GRE General Test home testing has been launched, allowing students affected by the new coronavirus outbreak to take the exams remotely.

Online registration for home tests is now available in the U.S., Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong and Macau, China.
Alberto Acereda, executive director of International Higher Education at ETS, said: «It was critical for us to create a timely, flexible and reliable solution to allow students to take the tests so they can complete time-sensitive applications.
The company added that the home tests are «identical in content, format and grade as tests administered at the testing center».
Test-taking became available March 26.
