Two international competitions for aspiring writers

Today we are sharing with you information about competitions for young authors who are fluent in English. They accept work from aspiring writers from different countries.

Author of Tomorrow

Deadline: May 31

£ 1000 per story in English -this award will go to the winner of the Author of Tomorrow competition authors from 16 to 21 years old can participate. The shortlist will be published on July 16 and the winner will be announced on September 12.

Stories from 1500 to 5000 words are accepted for the competition. Multiple jobs can be submitted. Each must be presented in a separate file in DOC, DOCX, or PDF format. You cannot indicate your name anywhere in the document - the jury evaluates the anonymous works. First, you need to register and fill out a short form, indicating your personal and contact information. You also need to send a synopsis (no more than 100 words).

HG Wells Fiction Short Story Competition

Deadline: July 8

This literary competition is held in two categories - for participants under 21 years of age and older. The most promising author from the first group will receive £ 1000, from the second - £ 250. This year's theme is Time. Works are accepted only in English. As with the Author of Tomorrow competition, you can enter short stories (1,500 to 5,000 words). Applications are accepted through the online form.
