University of Oulu (Finland) Masters Scholarships

The University of Oulu Masters Scholarship Program (IM Scholarship) provides scholarships to talented international scholars applying for 2-year graduate programs at the University of Oulu. The scholarships will cover 75% of the total tuition fees.Applicants can apply for a scholarship as part of the university admission process. IM Scholarships do not cover living expenses.

To keep the scholarship for the next year of study, the student must have completed 55 ECTS by the end of the previous academic year. If a student does not meet this requirement during the first year of study, he will be required to pay the full international tuition fees for the second year if he wishes to complete his master's program. An exception to this rule can be made if the student is granted approved study leave (for example, due to a serious illness).

Funding conditions

There is no separate scholarship application system. Scholarship applications are submitted along with the application for the preferred master's program on Studyinfo.

Application period for scholarships: 1.11.2018-23.1.2019.

Decisions on admission and scholarship will be made simultaneously. Students who successfully receive a scholarship will be notified at the same time their offer of admission to the master's program is confirmed.The selection criteria for the scholarship are based on previous academic achievement and academic potential.
