Students who are nationals of African countries who wish to undertake the 1-year full-time LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) programme at the University of Pretoria, can apply to be considered for Scholarships to cover the costs of this programme.

Applicants must be nationals of African countries, who possess the first degree in Law (LLB, licence en droit or licenciatura em direito) or an Honours degree relevant to human rights and democratisation.
Applicants must have a demonstrated professional, academic and personal interest in and commitment to human rights and democratisation in Africa and they should be likely to put the qualification to good use in their future careers, preferably in their country of origin. They must have excellent academic credentials. Women, as well as members of minority groups such as indigenous people, LGBTI persons and persons with disabilities, are particularly encouraged to apply.
