The UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship Scheme is part of our dedication to harnessing our cutting-edge research to solve complex problems and improve the lives of people in local and global communities.
A goal of the Scheme is to train outstanding PhD scholars who demonstrate a strong commitment to making a difference in the world, and who have the potential to contribute to the social engagement and/or global impact pillars of the UNSW 2025 Strategy.
Scientia PhD candidates receive career coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities, while undertaking strategic research projects in an environment of research excellence, leadership and community.

Requirements
Applicants for this program need to hold a Master degree in the relevant area. Applications are only accepted from self-funded scholars.
Those who wish to apply for this scholarship need to select a research field they would like to be engaged in, choose in on the official website of the program and submit a self-assessment letter. Both international and domestic candidates can apply for this scholarship. Those who are applying for the scholarship need also to apply for the suitable PhD program in University of New South Wales.
