Public Law

Public Law studies is one of  branches of Law studies with emphasis on relationships between individuals and government. Public Law includes such sub-disciplines as Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Tax Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law. Study programs in Public Law usually include all these sub-disciplines, but after one or several years of education students can choose a specialization and study in a particular area.

Public Law study program structure

Graduates who completed undergraduate study program in Public Law receive a LLB (Bachelor of Law), BA or BSc degree. After receiving a Bachelor degree, graduates need to complete legal training program or continue their education to receive a higher level degree in order to start practice.

First years of study program in Public Law is usually  dedicated to core courses, such as Constitutional Law, Federal Courts, Legislation or Statutory Interpretation. After getting a specialization, students can choose optional courses and prepare a final dissertation.

Usually undergraduate study program in Law also includes internship or part-time training, some institutions also encourage students to spend a year abroad.

Study programs in Law usually can be completed by submitting a dissertation and/or passing final exams.

Entry requirements for Public Law applicants

Those who wish to study Public Law in foreign universities need to have high grades (or high GPA score) in History and Social Sciences. English fluency is always required, as all study programs in foreign universities are usually taught in English.

Those who wish to apply for foreign universities need also meet special visa requirements of the chosen country.
