Film and Theatre studies program structure

Usually Film and Theatre study programs are very practical -  the curriculum consists of workshops, lectures and practical lessons. Those who are interested in history and culture of filming and theatre industry can choose theoretical study programs, which can be provided by Departments of Philosophy or Cultural Sciences.

Bachelor study programs usually last from three to five years, Master study programs - from one to three years.

Usually universities provide a job placement for  Film and Theatre students so they can develop their skills and receive work experience.

 

Entry requirements

The admission requirements for applicants for Film and Theatre undergraduate study programs depends on the chosen program, institution and even country. Sometimes institutions require previous education in film and theatre field,some institutions, however, prefer to accept applicants without any practical experience but with passion for filming and theatre.

Usually applicants (especially for Acting specializations) have to pass an audition.
