Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Science-Based Business

In addition to knowledge of bio-pharmaceutical sciences, master's students, In the first year of the specialisation, the emphasis is on bio-pharmaceutical sciences, and in the second year students concentrate on Science-Based Business.The strength of the programme is its individual approach: an individually tailored programme will be designed for each student. The key element of this programme is research, embedded in one or two research projects chosen by the students themselves, which include practical laboratory work and writing one or two master's theses. The Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Science-Based Business (SBB) specialisation comprises a one-year bio-pharmaceutical sciences research component and a one-year SBB component, an elective programme for science students on Management, Business and Entrepeneurship. The distinguishing feature of the Leiden MSc in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences is its research-oriented approach. This research orientation in the teaching programme is unique in Europe and enjoys a high international profile.
