In this specialisation you will acquire the knowledge and skills of a professional archivist. This will enable you to provide users of historical archives with professional guidance.
The emphasis in this one-year programme is on developing the knowledge and skills that are needed to appraise, select and acquire archives based on their societal and cultural context, and to make archives accessible within their historical context. In addition, you will study the context in which the archives were compiled. During this programme you will benefit from the department's structural collaboration with the National Archive in The Hague. The specific focus of this programme makes it unique in the Netherlands.
Programme internationalization: * Studying abroad is optional.
This programme has a workload of 60 ECTS.
