It is important to note that the MAnalyt programme is specifically designed to be started in Semester 1 with the core pillars of statistics, data mining and econometrics. The specialist subject courses in Semester 2 allow students to apply the skills learnt in Semester 1 and extend these into their business area of interest. Finally students will integrate all skills in the applied project in Summer School.
Candidates for the Degree of Master of Analytics shall follow a parts-based course of study, which shall consist of courses totalling at least 180 credits, comprising:
Part One (including 60 credits of compulsory courses and 60 credits of subject courses) and Part Two (project) as defined by the Schedule to the Qualification;
And including:
- Any compulsory courses listed in the Schedule for the Qualification
- At least one subject
- Attending field trips, studios, workshops, tutorials, and laboratories as required.
Every candidate for the Degree of Master of Analytics shall complete to the satisfaction of the Academic Board, a minimum of 600 hours in approved practica and associated reports in accordance with the following course:115.801 Applied Analytics Project.
For progression from Part One to Part Two, candidates must have maintained a B grade average over the courses undertaken in Part One.
