The course comprises:
* An approved period of education in practice which consists of at least nine months´ employment in an architectural practice during which you will undertake study and design modules and will make a number of return visits to the School for short courses. Students find their own places in employment, but have some help from the School. Our record in achieving placements is excellent and many students study abroad, receiving visits from tutors.

Current options include: Architectural Science and Technology; History and Theory of Architecture; Social Issues in Architecture and Professional and Management Studies.
* Project work which includes a comprehensive design for a building or group of buildings selected by yourself and relating to design specialisms offered by staff. Project work is the major component in the second year of the course. An overseas study visit is usually undertaken during the course.
* Lecture-based modules which include: Contemporary Architectural Design and Practice, Management and Economics
