In order to be accepted into the Bassoon Programme, applicants must demonstrate a high level of musical proficiency. This includes a strong knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, and aural skills. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency on the bassoon, including a mastery of the instrument's range, articulation, and dynamics.

We also require applicants to have a minimum of two years of private bassoon instruction. This is to ensure that all students have a strong foundation in the instrument before entering the programme.
