This program encompasses a range of medical, biological and medical disciplines that underpin progress imperative to human health and wellbeing. It draws on the disciplines of physiology, anatomy, biochemistry and neuroscience to understand normal human intellect (such as literary background ), and paraclinical disciplines of microbiology, pathology and pharmacology to know and treat human disease. Bio Medical science has embraced the overarching disciplines of human genetics, epigenetics and genomics to know the way gene-environment interactions specify the human phenotype in its ordinary and diseased conditions. Bio Medical science is related to every one; it's a defining effect on the standard of life, the pursuit of healthy living and the ability to diagnose and treat disease. Emphasis is put on cutting-edge research and its translation into fit living and to clinical preferences of diagnosis and treatment for disease. While research learning a particular discipline can be acquired (e.g. higher level laboratory capabilities and their application in a independent research project), this is not obligatory. Alternatively, students can focus on building discipline-specific understanding and knowledge how to employ it. Regardless of research training completed, the course emphasises research literacy, together with reviews of science fiction along with its communication.

A bachelor's degree with a major in a health or biomedical science discipline, which aligns with one of those specialisations of the course, or an equivalent qualifications, as recognized by UWA. English language requirements apply.
