Biosystems Engineering

The Biosystems Engineering programme focuses on Development of technology for the production, processing and storage of food and agricultural non-food; Management of the rural area; Renewable resources; Agro-industrial production chains. In all cases it concerns innovation and sustainable technology. The interaction between technology, plants, animals, the environment and society plays a central role. Developments in society at large often involve the development of new technology. The adoption of new technology and its integration within existing processes therefore requires special attention. This is why the programme also offers a course in technology assessment.

GPA of at least 70%

3. taaltoets cijfer Engels: minimaal 7.0 (havo) of 6.0 (VWO). Mocht dit niet het geval zijn, dan is er de mogelijkheid om een test af te leggen, om je niveau te testen.
4. taaltoets cijfer Applicants must provide recent evidence of their spoken and written command of English.
5. vooropleiding (ISPAC: vereiste vooropleiding) Studenten met een relevante BSc kunnen worden toegelaten. Als relevant worden in het algemeen gezien opleidingen met een voldoende 'engineering' inhoud. BSc's die mogelijk in aanmerking komen zijn o.a.: Universiteiten BSc Werktuigbouwkunde BSc Elektrotechniek BSc Technische natuurkunde HBO BSc Werktuigbouwkunde BSc Elektrotechniek BSc Technische natuurkunde BSc Industriële automatisering BSc Tuin- en akkerbouw BSc Dier- en veehouderij Toelating vanuit andere opleidingen is ook mogelijk als ze genoeg aansluiten. Dit wordt door de toelatingscommissie beoordeeld. In alle gevallen bestaat de mogelijkheid dat voor toelating een aantal aanvullende voorwaarden van toepassing zijn in de vorm van een zogenaamd schakelprogramma. Dit betekent dat voordat je formeel wordt toegelaten, je eerst een aantal vakken moet afronden.

7. minimum kennis (ISPAC: overige vereisten) GPA of at least 70%; good skills in math and/or statistics; basic computer skills; substantial amount of engineering or engineering related courses.
