Description

To educate professionals who would be able to analyze, model and simulate the energy conversion processes, also would be able to identify, formulate and solve the engineering problems related with heat production and conversion, heat supply, gas supply and consumption, as well as with indoor air quality, while planning, designing, using new and available energy, thermal equipment and systems, which exhibit high efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and reliability of energy conversion, consumption and management in a coherent and sustainable demand of resources and environmental impact.

What will students learn?

  • To use non-renewable and renewable energy sources, their structure, properties, function, components and processes of interaction, the overall integrity of these systems, their interaction with environment.
  • To use computer technologies required to tackle the tasks and challenges in the area of energy engineering, having the skills operating the measuring equipment and laboratory skills working with the machinery of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, ventilation and hydraulic machines.

All applicants have to pay a EUR 100 non-refundable application fee. The fee must accompany the application. The fee can be paid with a Bank draft (international cheque) or transfered directry to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University account.Registration fee EUR 200 is paid with the first tuition fee after receiving the official letter of admission.

Requirements

Admission Requirements for BSc programmes

  • Secondary School Graduation Certificate with good results, particularly in mathematics, physics, and English. Applications must be accompanied by legalized English translations of all transcripts. Unofficial copies are not accepted.
  • English language proficiency. No entrance examinations (except for Architecture programme) for foreigners are needed.
  • For Architecture programme, entrance test is requered

Applications can not be processed unless they include all the following:

  • Completed application form
  • Certificate of Education (Secondary/ Undergraduate degree, etc) including Grades;
  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • English profficiency certificate;
  • Medical Certificate (including AIDS test);
  • 4 Passport Photos;
  • A Copy of Passport;
  • Cheque of Application Fee of 100 EUR (non-refundable);
  • Certificate from a foreign bank and notarized letter of guarantee from parents/sponsors along with a document about their financial abilities (present to Lithuania Embassy).

Note: Legalized and notarized English translation are required for all Education documents.

Students from those countries can apply for any study programme offered in English language in coresponding degree. Application procedure is handled by the Lithuanian Embassy in that country.

State Scholarships

The Government of Republic of Lithuania, aiming for Lithuanian higher education to acquire an even greater international dimension, has announced the available funding for full-time second-cycle students from Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

- 3 students from Ukraine and 3 students from Belarus can be granted allowance to cover tuition fee and monthly scholarship (summer holidays included).

- 3 students from Azerbaijan and 3 students from Kazakhstan can can be granted monthly scholarship (summer holidays included).
