The Bachelor of Science in Business and Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute offers a comprehensive and innovative curriculum designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the dynamic world of business. While the Lally B.S. in Business & Management curriculum emphasizes fundamental business skills we want our students to excel in quantitative and computer skills and be reflective about their choices, creative and innovative in their problem solving, and informed of global/societal issues.

Requirements

All applications are reviewed individually by the admissions committee. It is important to note that some differences in preparation and academic background may be considered.  The applicants who are best suited for Rensselaer will have completed

  • Four years of English
  • Four years mathematics through pre-calculus
  • Three years of science (including chemistry and physics)
  • Three years of social studies and/or history

Additionally, the admissions committee pays particular attention to candidates who demonstrate qualities of leadership and talents that will contribute to the richness of the Rensselaer community.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for all non-native English speakers. Applicants who have completed three or more years of secondary education in the U.S. may request an exemption by emailing Rensselaer Admissions. Rensselaer expects a minimum TOEFL score of at least 88 iBT, or 570 PBT. For students not able to take the TOEFL, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Pearson’s Test of English (PTE) may be substituted for the TOEFL. An IELTS score of at least 7.0 or a PTE score of at least 59 is expected. Only the academic format is accepted.
