This degree combines the rigorous analysis of classical artifacts with the contextual understanding of historical, social, and cultural developments that shaped the ancient Mediterranean. Students will engage with a diverse range of disciplines, including art history, archaeology, anthropology, and history, gaining valuable skills in critical analysis, research, and interpretation. The program features a blend of lectures, seminars, practical workshops, and participation in archaeological excavations or site visits, providing practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge. Core modules cover subjects such as Greek and Roman art and architecture, ancient sculpture, pottery, painted art, and the ethical considerations of collecting and conserving antiquities.
