The Master of Medical Exercise Physiology is intended to extend and supplement the most relevant understanding of licensed exercise physiologists, and training science and athletic science / individual movement graduates. A thorough understanding of health sciences is integrated with the research knowledge and skills to perform a research thesis.
Candidates are entitled to become fully accredited exercise physiologists with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). This may be the highest level of accreditation for sale in Australia for Exercise Physiologists. ESSA has full membership with all the Health Professions Council of Australia and is an active member of Nation Wide organisations such as the National Allied Health Case-Mix Committee (NAHCC) and also the National Fitness Accreditation Council (AFAC). ESSA also features an affiliation with Sports Medicine Australia (SMA). International professional associations comprise the International Congress of Sport and Physical Education (ICSPE), the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, Ontario Kinesiology Association, Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and also British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
Normal Entrance: Conclusion of the Graduate Diploma of Clinical Exercise Physiology Coursework component, or equivalent
