This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social home workers involved with the managing, coordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. At that level, workers have specialized skills in community services and work autonomously under comprehensive directions from senior management. Workers are often supplying direct aid to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may even have responsibility for the supervision of other volunteers and workers and/or case direction; application coordination or the progression of new business opportunities.Note that the Statutory & Staff kid, childhood & family welfare specialisationmust be achieved in orderto meet the minimum education requirements for child protection and youth justice practice in Victoria. Furthermore, to fulfill the minimum education requirements for entrance into child protection practice in Victoria, diploma credentials must be approved by the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA)To attain this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of components of competency.No law, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at that time of book.
