The Graduate Certificate of Counselling is ideal for all those wanting to research counselling as a brand new livelihood or vocation direction, with completion of their class providing time and energy for you to ascertain whether their curiosity about counselling respects further research. The course may also be of interest for people in helping professions that are related whose occupations include an incidental counselling component (e.g. instruction, ministry, nursing, occupational therapy, pastoral work, policing, paramedics etc.), providing an opportunity to allow them to improve or extend their present relational set of skills by learning how to guide and encourage the others effectively. The training program can be helpful for people without prior undergraduate studies who are interested in counselling and might love to establish whether they are able to manage post-secondary level research studies. The training program is intended for people: wishing to research counselling without investing a more initial course; needing standardised counselling skills within their present employment; without even an undergraduate degree studying a mature-entry pathway into tertiary studies in the post-graduate domain.

The overall Experts of Counselling is a PACFA Licensed Class [Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia - PACFA].

Homework Degree OR Provisional admission to the Graduate Certificate in Counselling might be allowed where an applicant has a composite of prior learning, professional skills and/or vocational experience deemed by the Admissions Committee to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree. Applicants granted standardised admission will normally have to complete 2 bridging units before commencing the Graduate Certificate. Mature entry pathway is also available for individuals without a prior Bachelors degree.
