The Bachelor of Criminology level offers students the chance to study crime and criminal justice in both the conceptual and an employed way that especially stresses cultural and social definitions of criminality and the reactions to it. Areas of attention include criminal justice associations and practices; the growth of criminology as a discipline and its particular strands; designs and forms of victimisation; crime avoidance plans and disagreements; facets of juvenile justice; the growth of prisons and unique forms of punishment; law enforcement and surveillance; violence, sex and crime; cultural depictions of crime and contemporary debates in criminology. The level strives to equip all students with the specialist skills and knowledge that a brand fresh graduate would need on going into the workforce or on moving to advanced study.
