Developmental Studies is a distinct field that draws on the integration of the perspectives and methods of many disciplines to provide a coherent analysis of the biological, environmental, and social factors that influence both individual and group develpment. As such, it has specific relevance to a growing number of occupations and prfessions, notably child care, gerontology, and family studies.Students in the Developmental Studies program choose one of three streams: Individual Human Development, Comparative Biological Development, or Child Development and Child Care.
