Description

The world of Diagnostic Radiography changes rapidly, and this programme is designed to give graduates the skills, competencies and attributes needed to thrive in this environment. Glasgow Caledonian University is the largest Scottish educator and provider of Diagnostic Radiographers, and we have a dedicated X-ray suite and digital image viewing equipment on campus.

Practice placement is an essential part of this four-year programme - and you'll experience a range of placements in general and specialised imaging departments. There's also a four-week elective placement at the end of Year 3 where students can choose to work in departments within the UK and worldwide.

Career opportunities are wide and varied, and you could achieve Advanced and Consultant Practitioner status. The NHS employs 90% of all Diagnostic Radiographers, and there are also opportunities in private practice and industry.

Completion of this degree leads to eligibility to apply for registration with the Health Professions Council, and membership of the Society of Radiographers. The qualification is recognised worldwide - which allows for opportunities for employment in both the UK and worldwide.
