Requirements for the Dietetics Programme at the University of Foggia

The University of Foggia offers a comprehensive Dietetics programme that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful dietitian. In order to be accepted into the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Completion of a minimum of 30 credits of college-level coursework in the sciences, including biology, chemistry, and nutrition
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the humanities, including English, history, and psychology
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the social sciences, including sociology and anthropology
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the health sciences, including medical terminology and nutrition
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the culinary arts, including food preparation and nutrition
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the business and management sciences, including accounting and marketing
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the communication sciences, including public speaking and writing
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the computer sciences, including computer programming and web design
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the physical sciences, including physics and mathematics
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the life sciences, including anatomy and physiology
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the behavioral sciences, including psychology and sociology
  • Completion of a minimum of 15 credits of college-level coursework in the nutrition sciences, including nutrition and dietetics

Applicants must also submit a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
