The programme is designed to provide students with necessary knowledge in the development of technologies for production of materials with required properties and software development in the field of design and technologies of advanced materials.

Graduates will obtain profound expertise, creative thinking in solving problems connected with the profession and ability to develop materials with required properties and make of loaded constructions, equipment and machinery.

Core Disciplines: Mesomechanics and Computer Simulation of Materials, Modern Technology of Surface Coating and Hardening, Thin Films and Multilayer Materials for Electronics, Diagnostics of Loaded Materials and Constructions, Simulation of Ceramic Materials Based on Silicates and Oxides, Metal and Ceramic Based Nano-structural Materials.

Career opportunities include such areas: science and research, industry (developing and using of electric-discharge, plasma and beam technologies, e.g.: mineral resource industry), ecology labs.

Laboratory facilities: solatron 1260A - impedance / gain-phase analyzer, discharge installations for concrete disintegration, water ozonizers, installations for thin film coating, devices for low- temperature vacuum dehydration, technological installations based on discharge technologies for drilling, grind, cutting, boring and for recovering of heat exchangers.

* 4 years Bachelors Degree Certificate or an equivalent * Proof of English language proficiency: certificate TOEFL (paper 500 and better; web 55 and better) or IELTS (5.5 and better), First Certificate in English (FCE) or entrance test result * Sufficient result of Interdisciplinary exam
