The Master of e-Government (MEGov) is a one year, 180-point programme that will provide you with a unique opportunity to learn how to successfully manage complex transformational e-Government initiatives.

This new qualification to be offered by Victoria University's School of Government from 2014 is designed to support the development and delivery of technology-based transformational initiatives in the public sector.

Programme developer Professor Miriam Lips, Chair of Digital Government, says such initiatives include new and innovative forms of digital service provision, complex integrated back-office initiatives, and innovative forms of digital engagement.

Internationally, the MEGov will be a unique programme in the sense that it focuses predominantly on the public management aspects, rather than the technical aspects, of ICT-enabled public sector reform initiatives.

The MEGov is one of the few of its kind in the world. and it will be suitable for public managers from Australasia but particularly also the Asia-Pacific region, where governments are currently building e-Government capability in order to achieve good governance through ICT-enabled public sector reform.

This programme is unique in the Asia-Pacific region, and students will also be taught by leading academics in the emerging field of e-Government and public management.
