This research course develops, through the conduct of a supervised research project, the capability of a suitably qualified candidate to contribute to the information and practice of engineering. At the conclusion of the assigned project, the candidate submits a written thesis presenting the outcomes of the task and discussing the significance of them to the pertinent field of technologies. It is really a requirement that two thirds with the course is undertaken by research and just onethird by course work. Students should not enrol in this research course to be given a related Postgraduate Diploma but rather have undertaken it as a requirement for admission.
