Engineering - Mechanical Trade

This qualification defines the abilities and knowledge required of an Engineering Tradesperson - Mechanical within alloy , technology, manufacturing and associated businesses. The qualification has been specially designed for apprentices in the aforementioned trade. The qualification packaging has been developed in an assumption that competency will be developed through a combination of on and off-the-job learning plans such as the ones delivered by way of a formal apprenticeship. The qualification may also be done through formal skills comprehension assessment procedures. The skills related to this particular qualification are designed to apply to a wide assortment of mechanical trade work, including project matching, assembly, manufacture, installation, adjustment, testing, fault finding, maintenance and service of mechanical equipment, machinery and also using equipment tools.This qualification is designed to give a market recognised skills profile related to trade act as a Engineering Tradesperson - Mechanical. Skills development should be undertaken via a Australian Apprenticeship arrangement where the combination of online and off-the-job training would be defined in the Training Strategy associated with the Contract of Training between the company and apprentice.Assessment of several components of competency must, where indicated, include evidence of the candidate's performance in a functioning workplace where there's an adequate range of appropriate activities and materials to cover the range of use of those components. All outcomes must reflect the standard of performance inherent in the job.No licensing, legislative or certificate conditions affect this qualification at the time of publication.
