The system prepares graduates for professional work in a variety of areas of ecological training, governance, consulting and management by equipping them with skills and knowledge to negotiate both policy and legal issues influencing environmental regulation and protection. The core program covers legal dilemmas as a result of the protection of natural resources, the avoidance of pollution and also the preparation of urban infrastructure and development. The discretionary curriculum enables specialisation in areas like climate change, water, energy , international environmental law, biodiversity and heritage protection, marine and coastal law, the regulation of new technologies, human rights and comparative environmental law.
