Master of Forestry encompasses the administration of natural forests and woodlands, plantations and agro forestry through the practical use of scientific, economic and social principles. Sustainable management of forest resources requires both short-term management of variability and the capability to plan for the long-term sustainability of forest ecosystems. The forestry programs offer flexible, advanced understanding how to develop their knowledge and abilities in forestry and the forest sciences and their relationship to different land management areas. The broad range of the application reflects the diversity of viewpoints needed for effective forest resource administration, and also the option of classes within forestry sub-disciplines develops students knowledge in both science and processes or policy and management facets of forestry.
