This two-year educational Master's programme trains you to become a fully qualified teacher of Frisian language and culture. The programme consists of teacher training modules and courses in Frisian language and culture. The latter courses spring from the Master's track in European Literatures and Cultures (Literary Studies). During the teacher training modules you will become a fully qualified teacher. During the first year you will mainly take courses in Frisian language and culture, strengthening your knowledge. In addition you will do a short internship at a secondary school. In the second year the focus shifts to the teacher training modules. You will do an extended internship at a secondary school. During this internship you get one day per week for courses, meetings with your mentor and group assignments. After completing this programme you will have a Master's degree in Literary Studies and a teaching certificate. NB. (Near) Native level of Dutch is highly recommended.
