Program Description:

The Gender and Women's Studies program at Brandon University offers students a comprehensive and interdisciplinary exploration of gender, sexuality, and women’s issues within cultural, social, political, and historical contexts. This program is designed to foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of the complex ways in which gender identities and experiences shape individuals and societies. Through a diverse curriculum, students examine topics such as feminism, gender inequality, LGBTQ+ concerns, media representation, and intersectionality, preparing them for active engagement in social justice, advocacy, education, and community development sectors.
