Genetics, the study of genes and inheritance, is a fast-paced and fascinating field of modern biology. Recent advances in genetic technologies have revolutionised the way in which genes and entire genomes are studied – from the use of DNA fingerprinting in forensics to the identification of genes causing human disease. These innovative developments underpin human health, biotechnology, crop and livestock improvement and the conservation of biodiversity. Requirements

• Specific entry requirements: Successful applicants will also need GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics, with at least grade B
• IELTS 6.5 overall, with not less than 6.0 in each section. Pearson's Test of English (Academic) with 62 overall with at least 56 in all four skills.
