German language and culture (teacher training)

This two-year programme guides you to become a fully qualified teacher in German language and culture. In the didactic modules of the first year, you will be introduced to all aspects of being a teacher. You will be brought up to speed with the latest innovations in education and the changing role of the teacher. During an extensive internship at a secondary school, you will teach a series of classes, of which several independently. In addition, you will do courses in Linguistics, Literature and Culture. In the second year, you will have a part time position at a secondary school. One day per week will be spent on lectures, tutorials and team projects. When you finish this two-year programme, you will not only obtain a Master's degree in Literature or Linguistics, but also a certificate that shows that you are a fully qualified teacher in the German language. You can do this degree as a full time or a part time student.  NB. (Near) Native level of Dutch is highly recommended.
