The Honours Program in German Studies is designed to provide students with an intensive knowledge of both the German language and the history of German culture from the eighteenth-century to the present. It consists of 60 credits worth of courses, which include language, literature and cultural studies courses from the eighteenth-century to the present. Admission to the Honours Program in German Studies requires departmental approval. Students may begin Honours in German Studies in their first year. Honours students must maintain a GPA of 3.30 in their program courses, and, according to Faculty regulations, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in general. In addition to the above requirements, Honours students, according to Faculty regulations, also must complete at least a Minor Concentration (18 credits) in another academic unit.
