The Harpsichord Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory offers students the opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of the harpsichord. Our programme provides a comprehensive education in the fundamentals of harpsichord playing, from the basics of technique and repertoire to the more advanced aspects of performance and interpretation.

Our curriculum is designed to give students the skills and knowledge they need to become successful harpsichordists. Requirements for the Harpsichord Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory

The Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory offers a comprehensive Harpsichord programme for prospective students. To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of Grade 8 in Harpsichord or equivalent
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music Theory or equivalent
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Piano or equivalent
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music History or equivalent
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Sight-reading or equivalent
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Aural Training or equivalent

In addition to the above requirements, applicants must also submit a portfolio of their work, including recordings of their performances, and a personal statement outlining their reasons for applying to the programme.
