Health and Physical Education

The Health and Physical Education (HPE) program brings together a comprehensive base of health sciences, understanding of physical activity, and skills at interacting with people. The class explores challenging areas of personal development, for example childhood health problems, sexuality, drugs, psychology and risk taking behaviors, as well as general wellness science, including human education, health systems, health research and promotion. Facilities are high tech, including a new gym and a renovated dancing and health studio, along with also working experience is a potent characteristic of the program. The program is a popular pathway to your Master of Teaching degree, then on to your teaching career. Training opportunities could be extended beyond HPE by studying electives, such as mathematics and science, where students develop a second teaching field in a subject of their choice. Graduates also work as personal trainers, sports coaches, research assistants, along with community-based diversion.

Completed an English unit at the NSW Higher School Certificate, or Proficiency in English at IELTS 6.0 equivalent (unless an native speaker) or passed The College English test at IELTS 6.0 equivalent or passed The College Foundation Studies Academic English unit at C grade level or higher. Met other entrance conditions such as for instance an ATAR identified before the deal of a place, or completed The College Foundation Studies class with a Grade Point Average of 5.5 or higher. All students must have a Child Protection Certificate, Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate.
