The Department of History at Texas A&M University offers the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. The faculty teach over one hundred undergraduate courses on peoples, ideas, and cultures from around the world and across the ages, and are devoted to developing students' critical thinking, reading, and writing skills. Maintaining our commitment to traditional regional and chronological fields of study, we have also reconfigured the structure of the department into twelve thematic clusters that better express our strengths, breadth of coverage, and diversity of interests and more effectively serve our graduate students and undergraduates.
The Department offers the Master of Arts in History:
- Master of Arts with Thesis Option (30 hours completed)
- Master of Arts with Non-Thesis Option (36 hours completed)
Students at Texas A&M University received approximately $533 million in financial assistance through scholarships, grants, loans, waivers, work-study, and on-campus student employment. Approximately 71% of students received some form of financial assistance. All forms of assistance continue to grow as well as the number of students receiving aid.
