Requirements for the Horn Programme at Giacomo Puccini Institute of Music Studies

The Horn Programme at Giacomo Puccini Institute of Music Studies is designed to provide students with the highest level of instruction in the art of playing the horn. Our programme is open to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players. To be accepted into the programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of prior musical experience, either through private instruction or school-based music programmes.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Horn Exam.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in the ABRSM Theory of Music Exam.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in the ABRSM Aural Skills Exam.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in the ABRSM Sight-Reading Exam.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in the ABRSM Performance Exam.
