Requirements for Jazz Guitar Programme at Licinio Refice Conservatory of Music

Are you interested in studying jazz guitar at the Licinio Refice Conservatory of Music? We are excited to have you join us! Before you can begin your studies, there are a few requirements that must be met.

Academic Requirements

In order to be accepted into the Jazz Guitar Programme, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also have a basic understanding of music theory and be able to read music notation.

Instrument Requirements

You must have your own guitar and amplifier. You must also have a tuner, metronome, and other necessary accessories. You must be able to bring your own instrument to all classes and rehearsals.

Audition Requirements

In order to be accepted into the Jazz Guitar Programme, you must pass an audition. The audition will consist of playing a jazz standard, sight-reading, and improvisation. You must also demonstrate a basic understanding of jazz harmony.
