Requirements for Jazz Piano Programme at Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky

The Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky offers a comprehensive Jazz Piano Programme for prospective students. This programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful jazz pianists.

In order to be accepted into the programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of two years of piano study, including at least one year of jazz piano.
• A minimum grade of B in all music theory courses.
• A minimum grade of B in all jazz piano courses.
• A minimum grade of C in all other music courses.
• A minimum grade of C in all other academic courses.
• A minimum score of 80% on the Institute of Music Studies of P.I. Tchaikovsky entrance exam.
