Requirements for Jazz Trumpet Programme at Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Music

Are you interested in studying jazz trumpet at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Music? We are excited to have you join us! Here are the requirements for admission to our Jazz Trumpet Programme:

• A minimum of two years of playing experience on the trumpet.
• A minimum of two years of jazz improvisation experience.
• A minimum of two years of music theory experience.
• A minimum of two years of music history experience.
• A minimum of two years of ear training experience.
• A minimum of two years of sight-reading experience.
• A minimum of two years of ensemble experience.
• A minimum of two years of jazz arranging experience.

Our programme offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of jazz trumpet playing. You will learn the fundamentals of jazz theory, improvisation, and composition, as well as the history and development of jazz trumpet. You will also have the opportunity to work with our faculty to develop your own unique style and sound.

In addition to our curriculum, we offer a variety of performance opportunities. You will have the chance to perform with our faculty and other students in our jazz ensemble, as well as in our student-run jazz combos. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our annual jazz festival, which features performances by some of the world’s top jazz musicians.
