All areas involve the study, examination and investigation of body fluids and cells by physical, chemical, biochemical and biological procedures to give information essential for the identification and treatment for disorder. First year of the class offers a foundation in life and overall sciences together with awareness of communication skills. The first year medical lab science units form a foundation for the analysis of human areas in the next year. The next year of the class presents tissue and cellular facets of pathology and analysis of the individual discipline regions of lab medicine. In the 3rd year there is opportunity to specialise in three big areas together side analysis of overall subjects applicable across scientific sciences. The next 50% of the year involves full-time clinical trials in a hospital or even private pathology lab. This clinical positioning remains in the first semester of the fourth calendar year. The final term of the class continues study in the preferred discipline together side opportunity to study core topics and case studies that draw student knowledge and learning adventures from all subject areas.

This training course may be the only amount of its kind in Western Australia licensed by the Australian Institute of Medical Laboratory. This expert body provides recognition for employment from laboratory medicine as a physician scientist.
