Requirements for the Lute Programme at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia

The National Academy of Santa Cecilia is proud to offer a comprehensive Lute Programme for prospective students. Our programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful lutenist.

In order to be accepted into the Lute Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a minimum of two years of experience playing the lute
• Submit a letter of recommendation from a lute teacher
• Submit a portfolio of lute compositions
• Pass an audition demonstrating proficiency on the lute
